Concept 1
Playground
Site Layout
This option reuses playground equipment from another Township park, keeping costs in budget and supporting sustainability, while still adding new features to the site.
- Uses playground equipment relocated from Sarawak Park that is being upgraded.
- Keeps the project within budget, and keeps functional play structures from landfill, supporting sustainability goals.
- Provides a wide range of play experiences for different age ranges, and a larger playground area including swingset.
- Savings allow more funding for other park features such as a shade structure with picnic seating, loop and secondary trails, benches, and new plantings.
This design highlights affordability, sustainability, and play variety. By relocating equipment from Sarawak Family Park and adding swings, it creates a larger play space while keeping costs down and diverting materials from landfill. The layout is shaped by what can be reused, which means the equipment may not last as long as new, but it offers more features and play value within budget.
