Georgian Bluffs is committed to providing municipal policies, services, programs and facilities that are accessible to residents, ratepayers and visitors of all abilities.

The Township is required by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 to maintain accessibility standards within the Township. In 2019, Council approved an updated Multi-year Accessibility Plan.

The Township is currently undertaking a Multi-Year Accessibility Plan update for 2023. This platform serves as an engagement tool for you to share ideas and feedback on the Draft plan, while providing any other ideas to improve accessibility in our Township.

Accommodations

The Township recognizes some people may not be able to use various online public engagement features. Contact the project team for an accommodation to access engagement tools such as the map, forum or idea board. Hard copy Comment Cards are available for community input and feedback at all 3 Township arenas and the Township Administration Office. You can also provide any comments or feedback to the Clerk's Department at clerks@georgianbluffs.ca or by phone at 519-376-2729 ext. 602. It's important to receive feedback from people of all abilities to help shape the accessibility plan. We're happy to help.

Tell us about a barrier in Georgian Bluffs

Locate a barrier you have encountered in Georgian Bluffs with a pin and provide a brief description. 


Instructions to add a pin

  1. Open the map and zoom to the barrier you want to describe.
  2. Select the Add Pin (+) tool on the top left to view pin categories. 
  3. Drag a pin to the the map where you want to describe a barrier.
  4. Add a comment to describe the barrier and a photo if you have one.
  5. More than one pin can be applied. 

How to edit a pin you added

  1. Select the pin you want to edit.
  2. Select the 3 stacked dots beside your name.
  3. Edit pin details. You can also move the pin to a new location.
  4. Select ‘Submit’ to save changes. 

Accommodations

The Township recognizes the Map a barrier tool may not be accessible to everyone due to software limitations with pin labels, pin colours and the drag and drop function. You can contact the project team for an accommodation or send us a list of barriers you want added to the map. It's important to pin point barriers for people of all abilities to help shape the accessibility plan. We're happy to help.
