About the Bridge Study
The Sideroad 3 Bridge, located within the Grey Sauble Conservation Authority area, has structural issues, including severe spalling and cracking, making it unsafe for use. We’re exploring whether to remove, rehabilitate, or replace the bridge.
How the Study Works
This study follows Ontario’s Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) guidelines. Here’s what to expect:
- Background Assessment: Our team will complete an inventory and assessment of the natural, social, cultural, heritage and natural environment features of and potential impacts to the surrounding lands and watercourses.
- Alternative Solutions: We’re considering options that prioritize public safety, cost-effectiveness, and the community’s needs. Options will include possible repairs, complete replacement, or even removal.
- Community Engagement: Public input will play a vital role in the final decision. We’ll share regular updates for you to participate and provide input.
