Community Risk Assessment

A Community Risk Assessment looks at our landscapes, neighbourhoods, businesses, and activities to find out where risks are higher or lower. This helps the Township make sure the right emergency services are in place where they’re needed most.

Here are some examples of what we look at:

  • Farms and equipment – Agriculture can involve big machinery and complex work. If there's a higher chance of accidents, we need to plan for faster or more specialized emergency responses.

  • Waterfalls and hiking trails – Recreational areas can bring unique risks, like falls or hard-to-reach rescue spots. We need to be ready for rope rescues and other emergencies.

  • Industry and materials – If an area uses or stores chemicals or flammable items, we need to make sure our fire services are prepared to handle those emergencies.

This risk assessment is the first step in helping Georgian Bluffs create a plan that keeps our residents and visitors safe.
